The current system isn’t working! Instead of focusing on mass incarceration, we must concentrate our efforts on restorative practices and social service diversions. Instead of oppressing marginalized populations, we must approach violence, mental health, and addiction as the public health issues they truly are. APA is committed to the latter, dismantling the criminal justice system by creating solutions that help individuals move forward with hope. Aligned with our commitment to building a fair and just system, we will offer expungement clinics throughout 2023.
